Thimphu festival is one of the biggest festivals celebrated for three days. During the three days festival, masked dances are performed depicting many religious events from the life of Guru Rimpoche. People from all walks of life come to attend festival in their best attire and it is moments to rejoice and to be seen. You will sit around with the local, talk to them and take pictures of the festival. Thangbi Mani festival is one of the most popular festivals held in Chhoekhor Gewog in Bumthang. Day 1: 6th Oct 2019: Arrival Bhutan Thimphu (L/D)

Arrive in Paro, by Druk Air. Your first glimpse of Bhutan and the representative from company will welcome you with white scarf. Drive to Thimpu and if time permits sightseeing in the capital city. Visit to Memorial Chorten and Changangkha Lhakhang temple.

Day 2: 7th Oct 2019: Thimphu-Festival (B/L/D)

After breakfast drive to the festival ground to witness the annual Thimphu festival. You will sit around with the local, talk to them and take pictures of the festival. Afternoon either sightseeing or witness the festival. You can visit the Textile Museum, Vegetable Market and Heritage Museum.

Day 3: 8th Oct 2019: Thimphu-Punakha (B/L/D)

The drive from Thimphu to Punakha, old capital city, (75km) takes about 3 hours. The road climbs from Thimphu to Dochula pass at (3,050m). en route visit to Chimi Lhakhang-fertility temple and Punakha Dzong or PungthangDechenPhodrang, The Palace of Great Happiness,

Day 4: 9thOct 2019: Punakha-Trongsa (B/L/D)

After breakfast drive to Trongsa crossing Pelela Pass, (3420m) traditionally the border between west and east Bhutan. Visit to Trongsa Dzong and Ta dzong Museum and En route visit Chendibji Stupa.

Day 5: 10th Oct 2019: Trongsa-Bumthang (B/L/D)

From Trongsa to Bumthang is about 2 and 1/2 drive over Youtongla pass at (3,551m). After crossing Youtongla pass, we arrive in Chumey valley. Stop to visit the Yathra weavers at Zugney. Check into hotel and after lunch continue sightseeing includes visit to Jambay Lhakhang and Kurjey Lhakhang Complex

Day 6: 11 Oct 2019: Bumthang-Thangbi Mani Festival (B/L/D)

Thangbi is a small village located about less than an hour drive from Jakar valley. The highlight of the festival is the fire blessing (Mewang) ceremony, performed in an open ground. The lay monks perform purification rituals while people jump over flames to purify themselves. Several mask dances are also performed. It is believed that the festival would bring peace and prosperity and ensure better harvest for the entire community.

Day 7: 12 Oct 2019: Bumthang-Phobjikha Valley (B/L/D)

Start early for our drive to Phobjikha Valley. It takes about 5hrs to reach Phobjikha. 1 hour hike around the Black Necked Crane habitat and visit Gangtey monastery if time permits.

Day 8: 13 Oct 2019: Phobjikha Valley-Paro (B/L/D)

After breakfast drive to Paro via Punakha and Thimphu. It will take 6 hrs and check into your hotel and if time permits do some sightseeing in the valley. Sightseeing includes visit to National Museum of Bhutan and Paro Dzong, (the fortress of the heap of Jewels built in the 17th century)

Day 9: 14 Oct 2019: Paro-Hike to Tigers Nest (B/L/D)

After breakfast, transfer to the trail nearby and head to Takstang, Tiger nest monastery a quintessential Bhutan travel experience. Late afternoon back in the town visit Dungtse Lhakhang, Kichulhakahng and at leisure in the town.
